Hah! Got a new example for you!

These are just so cool, I immediately placed an order for one of everything:bouncy:

They are from the \'Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company\', who have been going for some while, but are not that well known.

These are called \'Pond Scum\' and are a quirky, cartoony bunch of WWII figures and vehicles.

Like Marmite, you\'ll either love them or hate them:

Enjoy!

I\'ve got one of these guys that I had bought for me at Salute! (I think I have Private Kelly). They aren\'t small by any stretch, they are a big old lump of lead!

I promised I would paint it first, but the Fenryll box called to me, so it\'ll be next on the list

It\'s hard to tell from the piccies...

Especially as they are unpainted, but they just looked so characterful, I couldn\'t resist. I wasn\'t even sure if they were lead or resin, but the name of the company should have given that away:D

I just had a chat with one of the blokes there and he told me they are going to be bringing out some rules as well.

Obviously the whole point of this range is the humour, and he said that they were considering rolling a D12 for the tanks when they fired, to see how far they shot backwards...possibly falling off the table in the processlol

They are also hoping to bring out planes and motorbikes and sidecars in the same theme....

Can\'t wait:bouncy:

Once again, you have impressed us with your strangness. :D

Private Dick Scratcher? lol

I like some of the figures, especially the Krauts, but the vehicles are just hideous.

I am going to reserve judgement on the tanks....

Until I have them in my hot, sticky little hands;)

I agree with you in principle however, it was the figures that really appealed to me at first. I think you really need to imagine those tanks careering around on their \'unitrack\' belching smoke and flying backwards everytime they take a shotlol

As someone on Frothers commented though, they\'d make a great paperweight:D

I was looking at some of the other areas. An African Queen boat and Triffids. Man d20 modern scenerios popping to mind.

Hey Finn, did you notice that the Pond Scum figures are listed as \"actual size\"?

So, they aren\'t \"minis\" at all!!!

The little tanks are adorable. I really like odd and eclectic stuff and HLBS does seem to have that.

I thought at one time they some horned wolly rhinocerous\', but I didn\'t see them listed.

I do dig this guy too..

Ahhhh HLBS a very good manufacturer, I got some of their WWI themed stuff like the big bertha cannon and the armoured train fnatastic stuff. I do like these I think the submarine is well cool.

If you can imagine a jar containing something along the lines of thick tar that smells like it\'s been out on the piss the night before and then makes your tongue feel like it\'s been gargling with diesel oil... then you\'d be about there..... oh yeah, you put it on your toast.

I actually don\'t dislike it :)

lol Pretty close! I like the stuff plenty, a tiny bit in peanut butter on toast, now that\'s just the best piece of toast there is. *slurp* :)

@supervike: They call it a \'yeast extract\'. It tastes and smells like thunder. Imagine a really thick ale wort, the unfermented and un-watered gunk they make Guinness from, and you\'d not be far wrong.

Great comic idea but shitly executed as ever! Don´t reckon much to the overall sculpt quality, but then again HLBS have never been great on that count (though their dinosaurs look damn good!).

I think we\'ve blown it...

It\'s not there at the moment, but it was there earlier on today. Perhaps all this new interest has overloaded it???
