painting fire?? any one knows a good way or an article that shows how to paint fire?? ???

I tried painting fire once, nearly burnt down my house.

When painting fire remember it\'s from light at the base to dark on the edges.

The only complaint I have with that article is that he seems to go against his own theory. He is still highligting the raised edges in a lighter colour on that fire elemental. Should he not reverse the natural layering system, and either add layers of darker colour on the raised portions of the mini, or lighten the crevaces?

Seriously, I suggest looking at candles on google image search if you are painting candles. That helped me a lot, since sculpts of candles are pretty much teardrops... not much depth to the sculpt. They also seem brighter at the apex of the flame than the sorts of fire shown in the demos.
