First attempt at \"Battle Scene\"

This is my first try at doing a Battle Scene. This was done for a local paint competition. Everyone was given a new Chaos Warrior model and told \"Go to town!\" I wound up not doing a lot of conversion work to the Warrior. I spent way more time on the Knight sculpting than I thought I would, but the new Warriors are nice enough models that they hold up just fine without too much work. :)

I wanted to put some snow on the base, to fill in some of the blank areas on the lower left and upper right corners, and to provide a bit more texture to the base. (It feels too monochromatic right now.) Sadly, time ran out. I was still painting 15 minutes before check-in time!

Anyway, I\'m really happy with how it turned out (and I took first place!) but there\'s always room for improvement. Any comments are more than welcome.

Thanks so much.

Good work. The base is a little plain (no random tufts of grass etc that you\'d find on real ground) but the figures are excellent, and the conversion on the fallen knight is \"seamless\".

Yeah, the barren Chaos Wastes are a bit too...er...barren. :)

I\'m really dissapointed that I didn\'t have more time to work on the base, but what can you do? Like I said, I planned on doing some snow and some scrub grass, but time was running out. I \'ve never done snow before, so I was far too nervous to try an untested technique on a model that was 99% finished.

Thanks for the comments!

The diorama looks awsome, I like the chaos warriors especially.
It would be cool if their were guts coming out of the helmet and a small puddle of blood under.

that\'s a great battle scene. And I also think that guts plus part of the spine hanging out from the head would be really cool!
