First BloodThirster WIP

What I hope to be the first of a few WIP posts of my FW BloodThirster project.

Both wings are now ready to prime. The body still needs quite a bit of work on it, including sculpting two new fangs, as both of the buggers had air bubbles in them :(

Pic 1: Bulked up the areas where the wings join with GreenStuff & Miliput. Two regular pins in both wing joints and a thicker one.

Pic 2: Left Wing - Wing - The black marks are where I painted a thin coat of paint over a GreenStuff to ensure that I had blended the putty in correctly.

Pic 3: Right Strangly needed less work :p

Pic 4: Whip Arm - The molding on the whip handle was crap, so I cut it off and wrapped some chain around it. I need to add more chain else it looks odd.

Does the milliput squirt out when you attach the wings? I agree that would give a ton of support, but don\'t understand what happens to the overflow...(i assume you trim it off?)

Yes it is the forgeworld model - wings are about 10\" across... Scarily the detail is as fine as a regular mini :p

@supervike
I put the regular pins into the body before I added any putty. I then took small blobs of milliput/GS mix and applied it a little at a time. The blobs were about 1/8\" thick and 1\" long (give or take). I kept test fitting the wings onto the body, licking the wing beforehand, so that it didn\'t stick. I trimmed the putty back, so that there is roughly a 1mm indent all the way round, so that when the wings get glued on, I can GS some fur on it.

Think thats about as complex as it gets.

Hehe, no problems :) Its quite a steep learning curve to be honest, so any help I can give to anybody else, I\'m more than happy.
