First Deathwing terminator - finished pics.

Well a little mini project to see if i liked painting deathwing... and I do! Looking forward to starting the next 4 in the near future!

Fav bits include the freehand icons, yes they\'re painted! And the stone crux on his shoulder. Also the greenstuff tabard was a minor victory as well.

Does he have three eyes? I am not up to the 40k fluff.

First of all, since you have such a nice big picture, its easier to spot the flaws, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

The eyes look very well done. Also the entire color is a tough one to paint, but you have done it well.

My only criticisms of the main painting would be that some of the shadows in the crevices of the armor look a bit rough.

Also the white around the tabard is sketchy. The base is a bit of a let down too. It doesn\'t match the quality of the rest of the mini.

BUT...on the good side, the freehand stuff is very well done.

I think this is an 8 from me.

I like the ivory looking color, and those eyes are amazing. What are the larger rocks on the base made from?

Nice job. I\'ve painted a fair few Deathwing myself and the armour isn\'t an easy one to pull off. Yours looks good and smooth. To give it a little bit of extra impact sheer white spot highlights on some of the sharp upper edges would be a good finishing touch but there is really nothing wrong with it as it is.

The stone crux is great and the freehand is also pretty clean, but I think the sword on the shoulder pad needs to have a break in it to indicate that he is in the Deathwing.

Perhaps make the tabard drop a bit more in the centre under the neck on the others to look a bit more natural?

Looking forward to seeing the rest.

The bone color looks very smooth, eyes are great and I love the stone crest!
