First Mid Nor mini

Hi all

It\'s been a while since I posted a finished mini.... it\'s been a while since I actually finished a mini

Anyhoo, here it is. This is the first Mid Nor guy that I\'ve painted. I like the sculpt quite a lot. I\'m particularly pleased with the NMM and the skin tone on the face. The base was left fairly bleak so as not to overpower the figure... which is quite neutral.

I love that barrel...

It really does look red hot.

Opportunity for a bit of light sourcing?

I really like that unfussy base as well. A lot of Rackham bases are completely OTT and detract from the model itself.

I love it all...

First of all the mottled skin looks sickly and grotesque.

The base is great. It\'s incredible realism adds an air of believablity to that freaky little thing.

That is just a great model all round, I really like the base and the armour plating is very nicely done.

It\'s amazing how quickly you get out-of-practice with mini painting. This took far longer to finish than I would usually expect. It was fun \'re-learning\' and experimenting on this. Using Vallejo glaze medium is one of the \'new\' things I used.... I\'ll definitely be employing it from now on
