I\'m not sure about the purple/blue as the shade colour for the red, especially on the back it\'s just too different a colour for me. It looks like you have one of the most important things, brush control, down pretty good. I suggest trying darklining. That is painting a very thin line of a very dark colour (black or brown usually) anywhere two different material touch and in deep recesses. The place I think that could use it the most is betwen the fingers and between the brown leather and the flesh.
