This is a female sea elf and her mount, from Eastern Front Studios. I could kick myself for not buying her male counterpart when I could!

I know there are some problems with her at the moment- the prep work happened in Aus when I had a lot of time but little money and no tools. I\'d love to know what you all think of her though!

Two things I see;
One the red reigns don\'t work for me I think you need to get a colour in the Triad to balance out. (more of an orangy brown I think, I\'ll have to look it up.)
Two the badly cast feet are a distraction to me, and need some working on.

I\'ll freely admit that the colour of the reins has foozled me. I initially painted them the same colour as the green armour, but that didn\'t seem right, so then I painted them the same colour as the cloak and it\'s still not working! I\'ve sanded the miscasts off the feet, so I\'ll be repainting them and perhaps that shade of brown would be a good colour to use on the harness?

Nice, I like the colors you\'re using on the mount. Maybe use more gradient between the green and the purple.

Thanks! I love the crazy colours that some marine animals display and that\'s what I was trying to capture. I think I can see the areas you mean, and I\'ll probably attack them with a nice midnight blue/liche purple glaze.

If you are planning to Glaze over the colours then can I suggest Over highlight the green placings you have, then glaze the whole thing with either the GW green wash or Vallejo Transparent Green.
That should darken and richen the purple, the wash/glaze will drop the green highlight while still giving the green a bit more Ooomph.

Oooh! Ok, might have to wait until I\'ve got one of those tho (maybe tomorrow, depends what time I leave work). On the upside, I\'ve rebasecoated the reins with bestial brown and it looks a LOT better.

No green glaze as of yet, but I\'ve fixed the feet and the reins - I hope! And also done some more work on the metals and the shield.

The feet still look crappy, but there is nothing much you can do about it.. besides cutting them off and sculpting new ones.
The reins do look better like this, but they need a little something. Maybe glazing a warmer tone in the shading.

Thanks! I\'m not sure yet - obviously have to paint it first! I might make some weedy wavy things out of paper, tho.

Mmmm. I\'m not sure I fancy doing anything that radical. At least the mold lines and flash are gone now. I can have a little more of a fiddle with the colours tonight.

Looks pretty decent! It\'s not easy to use green and purple together without it looking like... well, a Constructicon ;)
Ta! :) I do seem to like my wacky colour schemes, don\'t I? One day I\'ll paint something properly... Incidentally, the Wikipedia entry for Constructicons and associated Transformers is startlingly huge. A definite \"the content reflects the readership\" moment...
