Sorry to hear about your dad. It\'s very true that personal stress or tragedy can really unfocus the mind and destroy your creative impulse... And yet people so often use that impulse to cope with difficult times. One of the many contradictions of being human, I guess.

/enough talk, I\'ll go check out your work now! :)

Very nice painting.

I find painting a great release for stress and tension,it is one of the few tools I have to combat depression.
Keep it up.

Sorry to hear of your loss.My father and mother are both nearing the end. Sometimes I find art to be a comforting escape.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Mark (and you too Vienna-Painter). I think using your creativity is a good way to handle the situation, although it can be difficult at first to find the motivation. I looked at and voted on all your posts. Really good work!

Hello,

many thanks to all and your comments, this helps a lot. It was a hard time for my family and for my mother, she is in a wheelchair. But all from the family helps each other. My Dad was first 56 Years (Heart).

Painting helps much to get the mind clear from all stress.

@vienna-painter: Ich kann es Dir nachfühlen, der Schmerz wird nicht leichter, man kann nur lernen damit umzugehen.... Vielen Dank für Deinen Kommentar .

Many Greetings from Germany (Black Forest Regio)

Very nice work! Turns out I\'d already voted on them all before seeing this thread. Got all 8\'s and 9\'s from me. I really like your style. That unit must have taken some time to paint up to that standard, but it\'s a beauty.

More importantly, glad to see you are getting through our loss. Having just lost my father on the 13th, I fully understand the magnitude of the blow. I hope that your return to painting helps you find solice. Hang in there. Times will get better (or so they keep assuring me)

Great paint jobs! I had also already voted on 2 out of the 4. 8\'s and 9\'s from me too. The skin texture on the minotaur is very interesting (in a good way!).

Condolances to ALL the recent losses around here! :( Paint \"therapy\" is probably very good for anyone. I lost my father a few years back -- you will never forget, but some of the pain does ease a bit with time.

I particularly liked the second go at Marco Columbo. The picture also seemed better than the picture of the first attempt. The picture of your first attempt seems a little stark by comparison. Did you use a different lighting setup?

Excellent job all round.

First many thanks to all for your comments and for your voting, too.

I think the pain of the loss will not go away, but you can learn to live with it.

Yes, i have used another light here, it´s a bit dark. When i have the time i will try it again, with another ligthing setup.

Taking photos is a science for itself.....

Many Greetings
