I think I was completely wrong. I think the voting system IS working, which is pretty sad.

I'll be generalizing heavily from here. Anything with more than 50 votes in the past few weeks are all above 9.0 on the votes, with high view counts. Anything that appears in the Top Last 7 Days sort. The number of votes appears to be about from one fifth to two tenths of the views. I find it odd that 300+ views but only 30 votes, however, that seems to hold even for the high view submissions. But, with only 300 views, it means submissions just aren't being viewed enough.

So, voting is working as intended. The string of 36 votes per mini was a HUGE statistical fluke, but one that has broken in the last several days. The solid string of "36" is broken up more randomly now.

Might have to start a new thread. Pick 5 submissions a day that I think are cool, and post them. Not sure. Maybe just wait until voting regains some prominence.

In any case, back to voting. I seem to have lost 11 votes since I said I stopped, so need to get cracking again. Losing ground.

@PegaZus: Congrats! I wasn't even close. Wen't to my parents place this weekend...

Well. I don't know the inner working of this site but generally I think the miniatures used to circulate until they reached 50 votes, now that same cut off seem to be somewhere around 35. I did get 3 new votes these last few days on my latest submission that has stood at 37 since some days after I posted it so maybe something has happened.

I was a lot closer than I thought but it still took me a while, got there eventually though:

You have voted on 4004 out of 166428 minis!

"You have voted on 6690 out of 174040 minis!"

I used to make sure I had voted on well above 10% of all minis but had time away and the total had rocketed. If I had to guess I'd say I voted on a fair few deletions too.

Considered voting in general is good (gotta get things to 50+) but as DR mentions it is the comments/feedback that is the valuable bit for those happy to hear it. I'll have to start doing weekend sessions as a fun television-aversion method.
