First off, welcome to the party! The model looks good, but it's hard to give constructive critique without more detailed pictures. I'd love to offer my .02 quid, but I can't say anything aside from it looks a tad glossy. Looking forward to seeing more!

Oi! THe more the merrier!

Looking good. That's a great model, as most in that Tyranid line are. I can't say I'm a big fan of the red teeth as it blends into the mouth and makes it look like a toothless granny trying to gum me to death. (which is exactly like the dream I had for the last 6 nights, but I digress)

Like the blue carapace quite a bit, and the gloss works well to give me that slimey feel. (which is exactly...oh nevermind)

Show us more!

Welcome! I'm new here as well.

Your alien beastie looks good! The strong contrasts make the details stand out well. I'd have made the interior of the mouth a different shade to help pump up the contrast between it and the creature's teeth.

Looks like your progressing in the right direction, While im not a fan of gloss finishes on anything but eyes, mouths etc, Your carapace does give it a very different appeal than most flat finishes do. Keep working at those blends and highlights, the more subtle contrast you can achieve, the more detailed the model will appear.
