alright a bit more about myself, 33 years old and got into D&D when i was about 8 or 9, couple of years later branched into what i consider the totally awsome Warhammer FRP, dabbled in other games of that era eg. paranoia, runequest AD&D. Then along came Warhammer Fantasy Battle, then 40k Rogue Trader etc. and through those i got hooked on minis.

So gamed and played up until i was about 17

Wow, I could have written that. That is so close to my gaming origins it\'s slightly scary. I would just need to add a part in there about finding issue 100 of White Dwarf and wanting to find this \'Eavy Metal game which lead me to Warhammer.....

Have to admit I have the same problem with the local GW Daycare as well. Ours is spot to drop off your kids while you shop at the mall, not a place for anyone who is at all serious about the hobby. I find my FLGS a much better place to meat other gamers, as well as online forums like these.

Sold all my stuff to my cousin, who was mildly interested in gaming, for a grand total of 75 quid!!

Oh curse the benefit of hindsight.

Thankfully I kept all my stuff, and still have it and some of it still gets used. Most recent RPGs I\'ve run have been D&D 3.5, Star Wars D20 (Revised Core Edition) and Feng Shui... before that I did try out the new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, and I have to admit they did a great job. Only problem is my current group of players prefer high fantasy to dark fantasy so not sure when I will crack those books out again.

The biggest gaming \'loss\' I had was my Father selling off his Boardgaming collection for $100 CDN. He had a selection of Avalon Hill Bookcase games that put the local hobby shop to shame. I\'ve spent the last 15 or so years trying to build up my own collection and replace his but some of those games are so long out of print I\'ve got no chance of succeding at an acceptable cost.
