hey CMON...

i finally got my photography to a quality that i can live with...

built and painted in \'01, this is an old conversion i threw together when the land raider was first released, \'cause it came with some cool bits...
the chest, shoulder pads, and helmet are from the vehicle accessory sprue...the axe is from the blood angels honour guard box, and the bolter is from the deathwatch set...

he was fun to paint as a tabletop level test scheme for an iron hands army...
i will have to revisit this idea with the new guys from AOBR, but with some bionics added...

It\'s pretty neat, the black is nicely done.
The freehand on the left shoulder doesn\'t look like anything and the gun isn\'t at the same level as the rest. Still quite good overall.

yeah the black does look great. I think if u did resize the collage the score would go up cause its a good little mini.

Id suggest more contrast for the metals, you can see the highlights but theres nearly no shading.

Glad to see some of your work, Jah. If this is from \'01, I\'d love to see some of the stuff you\'re doing now.

And I hear ya on the photography. I loathe getting out the camera and the levels are usually all over the place. I\'ve got a good friend that\'s helped me out from time to time. That\'s nice when I can arrange it. Photography is an art form that I\'m afraid I\'ll never be comfortable with. =S

@scott: i do look forward to seein\' what i can do with the AOBR marines, but i have no timeline...i don\'t play, and it would just be an army to sell...

@monkey: the collage issue definitely needs to be corrected for my next submission...

@aaron: pretty much the last 5 years of my work is posted on either dakkadakka, or the privateer forum...
photography is too important a factor to be postin\' half-assed pics here...

i plan to upload my gallery in more or less chronological order, so the improvement of the last few years will definitely show as i get to the newer minis...
it was \'03 before i won a demon, and started gettin\' work in the industry, so it will be a few submissions before we get to the good stuff...

I spent last winter on Kauai... this time last year I was surfing in Hanalei. /sigh

This year I\'ve shoveled the driveway twice over the last 24 hours. It\'s beautiful outside, but BRRR!

I\'m off to St. Thomas to sail around the British Virgin Islands tomorrow. That\'s only for 8 or 9 days though. Then... back to the snow.

I\'m looking forward to seeing more of your stuff. I don\'t often look through dakka dakka but I\'ll wander over there and take a look around.
