I've been painting a little over two months now. I think i've gotten okay with it, and i'm not sure where to put this up, but am i forgetting anything or doing anything wrong? Are there any techniques you'd recommend?

First of all welcome to the party! Two things that jump out at me is that you still need to thin your paints a bit more. I still fight with this and I am always surprised at how thin it really has to be to go on smooth. Second I can see a few places where your metallic went onto your color, keep a second damp clean brush handy to 'clean' these spots as your painting, it helps a lot and helps get paint off where you didn't want it to go. Other then that good shot for the first try keep it up and enjoy the trip.

Aye, a couple of areas where the colour went onto metallic too. Keep it neat and tidy, also thin paints. I'd also add something to the well of the base to make it look like he's standing on something other than a big coloured disc...

Thin those paints and blend out from your highlights, there is a hard line on his left arm and leg from the brighter value of blue tothe darker underside and then on the back side of his forearm the blue is darkand a single value. In speed painting it is a ligament strategy to minimize oreven avoid shading out from highlights, but once you start down that road youhave to be consistent across the model or else you run the risk of it standingout and looking sloppy.

This is a good first submission. I like this PP fig, it is fun to paint. Photographing a mini does seem to highlight the flaws but I'm sure you see more than I. Good job!
