These are my first two submissions. Feel free to comment and advise. I painted these before coming to CMON and learning better techniques, so be honest! Thanks folks.

I voted and commented on both of them buddy. There are a lot of articles for almost any type of technique you could think of on this site. Doesnt hurt to ask people in the forums for advice either. Keep going with your painting and you will always see improvement. good luck.

a beginning is just that. a start. i think you are on your way to getting the techniques. you have fairly good brush control and are getting the colors where they need to be. the paints seem a bit thick and i would reccomend watering them down. it should make them look quite a bit better. keep it up and dont worry, over time you will be painting much better.

cheers

Completely subjective though this view is, I would get some tidy miniatures, something that might inspire you a bit more than the figures you\'ve done here. As already said, the painting is neat. That\'s a bloody good place to be. Good luck.

You do have good brush control, I think thinning the paint is the main thing right now.

Don\'t put off painting your favorite minis for too long. If you are painting something you really like you will honestly want to do better, and it will improve you. If you don\'t like the mini that much, you probably won\'t care.

Thanx for the hits and advise. any good articles on shadowing and highlighting you recomend would be most welcome. learning alot from just painting different minis got one in the works right now.

Well, check out the articles here, they\'re good for advice. Link

Also, if you\'re into Reaper\'s stuff (or even if you\'re not, actually), they have some excellent tutorials on their website that I used a lot when I first started: \'nother link. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, they have some detailed \"step by step\" articles, and a good article on paint thinning called \"Let it flow\".

As everyone here will be quick to tell you, the key to getting better is practice, practice, practice... :)

Welcome to the forums and thanks for submitting.

I\'d like to give comment to work you\'ve done after reading some of the CMON articles so I hope you\'ll post more in the near future.
