I am a great LOTR fan and make terrain for my battle games.

I have often admired the pictures submitted and thought I would put up some of mine of the model I made of Meduseld.

Put it in your gallery! You will do very well:
Scratchbuild check
Freehand check
NMM check

Gorgeous, unique, and useful!

That is some really nice work, any chance of seeing some pics next to some mini's for scale? Did you some of the Hirst Arts molds to make this? Also being a newbie myself, everyone here is real helpful and willing to help!

The scale is for 28mm figures.

I will take some pics with GW LOTR models.

Everyting is scratch built I did not use any moulds.

I built it just because I love making terrain models.

If anyone is interested I took pictures while building it, I could post these up, let me know.

Below are a couple of pictures with figures on the model to show the scale.

I am going to start another thread showing how I made Meduseld.

Amazing! Norse splendor at its best! And having just checked out the making-of thread, I'm impressed by your framing skills most of all. You really built it to code.

Thank you again for all your kind comments I really appreciate them, it actually took me just over a year to get to this stage.

As to size I thought very carefully about this. I wanted to be able to get the three porches down the sides so that it looked like the Meduseld from the films. But, at the same time I did not want it to be so big it was impractical to use on a gaming table.

In the end I went for a model where the hall was around 400mm long by 275mm wide. with the mound 700mm by 525mm. This size enabled me to still be able to fit 28mm LOTR figures on and in it without it looking out of scale.
