I've never tried to do any sculpting, but i couldn't resist giving this a try.
I'm working with polymer clay.
This is Sergeant Schlock from Schlock mercenary, a web comic. If you haven't given it a try, you're missing out.
If nothing else, look up the seventy maxims of maximally effective mercenaries.
I think Maxim 4 applies here: Close Air Support covereth a multitude of sins.
This is from Delegates and Delegation and this is what it's supposed to look like.

Here's what the scooter looks like so far. I had to make it longer because Schlock was a bit oversized..

Here's Sergeant Schlock. Still a work in process!
Schlock is an carbosilicate amorph and has no bones. He(?) forms appendages as needed and stores things in his mouth. Usually there's a plasma canon or two, but in this episode, he's improvising.

Anyway Any thoughts on how to proceed are very welcome. I'm just trying things and seeing what works.
