After much waiting my sculpting material and tools finally arrived from Arcane miniatures. I got strait down to trying my hand at sculpting and this is my first try. I\'m really happy with the results and wondered if you guys would like it or not.
So without further to do here it is.

Good to see you jumped straight in!

Would like to see more views, especially if the photos were a bit larger, to judge things a bit better.

On the fur texture, take a bit more time over it, refine the shapes more as you move to finer marks maybe (depends on how coarse you want it). Good start though; what you have in the photo looks similar to what I might do as stage one, before going at it a couple more times to refine and clean up.

Not sure if you assembled first but just in case, definitely do the shoulders then attach the shield after as it\'ll only get in the way otherwise.

Wow! That shield is excellent!

I take it, you did the head and the fur?

Very good first attempt, much better than my first, second....thirty third, attempts...

Keep at it!

Just to make my post more accurate, I didn\'t scratch build this, it\'s a conversion made on a warrior of chaos. I added the fur to the shoulders and shield and I sculpted that muzzle on the helmet although I think you can\'t see it properly. Here is another pic:

I used different mixes between brown stuff and procreate to sculpt.

PS: After taking the pic I noticed the rough bit on the face so now it\'s sanded and nice and smooth.

try doing the fur in layers.
start at the bottom, let that layer dry and then add another layer slightly higher up.

it\'s a bit like thatching a roof.

This is a good tip to know, but it\'s really not necessary for this much fur at a small scale - very useful for around the shoulders of a 1/9 scale bust though :)
