Fishing for Feedback...

Looking for feedback/ratings (but mostly feedback here or on the mini page) on my latest mini:

rpfwarrior.jpg

I didn\'t say on the posting that it took me about 90min from start to finish on this one (figuring that voters would automatically pick on the speed, but I figure people reading the forums are more likely to look at the mini than judge the speed).

It\'s my first attempt at NMM and I\'m reasonably pleased with the chain armor but somewhat dismayed at the sword.

Tried a few other techniques new to me on this one like glazing the skin with red/browns and purple before highlighting which I think gave the skin some extra depth I\'ve not really had before.

Anyway, I know it\'s not a wondermini or anything and it was mostly done to practice a few new techniques I\'ve picked up on CMoN.

You can vote on her, view my gallery where she will be. If you visit my gallery feel free to vote/comment on other minis please.

truth is good NMM isn\'t going to happen in 90mins. That really is fantastic work in that kind of time.
Thinner paints and smoother transitions will really help nail the NMM effect.
nice work though..

The NMM on the sword was a bit of an afterthought. I didn\'t like it with metallics so I thought I\'d try my hand at some NMM. Did this when CMoN was \'down\' (well wasn\'t really down it seems, but I couldn\'t access it for 2 days) and couldn\'t look up any articles on it (which I have since done).

My biggest hurtle is going to be overcoming my need to paint everything quickly. I can\'t say I\'ve spent more than 5 hours on a single mini in my life. It\'s something I\'m trying to work on but the brain keeps interrupting me. :p

You have the basics down Just do more of the same. I find it easier to try one new thing at a time but thats just me. Thin your paints and take more time is all I can say for now. Nice work for the time spent on it tho.
