Fishy things. Miniature Fishes for bases!?

Hi all Cmoners,

I'm stuck at finishing one of my models. It's "The Great White" from Pegasus Models. I have already finished the shark, but I'm stuck with the base. I want to add some nice tropical fish to make it look like the shark is swimming in tropical waters.
Anyone got ideas on somehow scale accurate fishes for this model? I bought an "Ocean Adventure set" box with plastich models from Wild Republic, but these toy fishes are way too big...

For comparison of the scale I add two photos, one with the shark and one with just the base. There is a GW dryad for scale comparison to 20mm in both of the photos.

Would be very thankfully for helps and advices!

Thank you Zab and Unszene for the info. The photetched one looks nice, as I want to add some Gorgonia and coral too. Guess I'll get this one.
The reaper set is too much fantasy style for this model. Which is great in other dioramas, but as this is an accurate model of the White Shark I wanted to add some fishes that really exist in reefs.
The animal sets at figone are great though, but they don't have a saltwater fish set. Maybe I could paint the other set like saltwater fish, but a trout or perk simply don't have the bodyshape of a barracuda :D

Anyway, thanks a lot. Maybe someone out there knows some more possiblities? Please let me know! Maybe there is a box of "nano" plastic fishes out there!? :)

Hehe, yeah, we need a bigger boat! :) Can take awhile now until I made my mind up which of the sets to get. Until then the shark has to rest and swim in circles inside a box.

Still waiting for the mail with the fishes and coral details for the base. I got some other ideas for the corals too, which I'll try as soon as I get more time. I ordered two of the brass sets. One for the shark and one for this WIP. Maybe I get to make a complete documentation of this Sirena's WIP ;) It will be a present for my wife, for birthday or christmas, depends on how quick I can finish it.

Right now I'm just not sure if the surfboard has the "correct" size/scale. What do you think guys? Should it be bigger? Or is it too big? As I'm in a country with snow and mountains I have no idea about surfboards. Have they some kind of curve at the end and at the front tip? And I have to make some research on the shape of the fins ... are there two?...or are there three? Hopefully I will learn some more about surfing with this research. ;)

Another point I want to change with the Origen Art miniature is the hair. While it's looking great, I want it to look more like the hair of my wife. So I have to make it double length. Hopefully I will not ruin it as it is very finely modeled.

A long long time ago I started this WIP. Well it's about time for an update, hopefully more regularly in future.

I finally started to do the bases for the shark and for the Sirena. I used some tree branches for corals, sculpeted some anemona with milliput, used parts of the industria mechanika "Sea Life" etched brass and also used crabs and an anchor from freebooter base decoration blister.

Here you can see the progress.

This is the base for the shark. It's the easier version. You can see it in different stages. Prepared - Primed - First colour setting

And here is the base for the Sirena form Origenart. There are a LOT more details here. Maybe you can't see them all now, as I still need to pick them out and paint them. I also started to do the never ending work to add scales to the Sirena miniature, using PK-pros Airbrush stencil "small dragon scales". I will post a foto hopefully soon.

Details of things going on there. Can u see the seahorse? It's about 1-2mm tall, for comparison there is my small finger. I couldn't focus the crab exactly, it's about 4mm diameter.

And finally, the tail of the Sirena, covered in the first scales. There will be a lot more fun attaching them...
