Thanks guys! Don't feel bad Graishak, I thought I had a lot of paint 'till I switched them into this rack, perspective I suppose.
Well, i did it again! In my excitement over my newest base, I decided that I should make something to test out flock, clump and stuff for trees. Looking at my stash I spied the GW Sylvaneth starter kit. Maybe the Branchwych or a Dryad? Nah, bring out the big guy! okay, I have a problem with building just about anything per the directions. I built him as a "mash up" of the three options. Then, trying to think of base options, I started imagining "a story". Got me no closer on the base, bit it did give me more of a story! Back to the stash and I whittle down the options to Dark Swords Amazon with Bastard sword. I had to change the position of her arm, we'll see how it looks after primer, fingers crossed. Just waiting for some epoxy to set on the arm supporting the weight of the girl. Then a little work on the "vine" I made to grab her before priming. Sill don't know what I'm doing for the base. Gonna try to keep it simple-ish (lol).

WooHoo! Color being slung! Well, it's flying through the air anyway. Just about ready to pick up the paintbrushes (going to base out the girl first). Proud of myself for not taking this base too far (cough, yet).

Thanks MM, Yeah I love the piece of wood I pulled it off of, a desert find ( I live in Vegas). I hope to find more of it, I will. It's everywhere out here.
A little multitasking today. Got the Jungle babes tree stepped up some. I can paint the base up a bit now. Still waiting on some more plants and stuff though.

Thats going to be a great piece! I like the color pattern already. Do you consider putting a crawling mini at the bottom left, climbing up the tree root? Imo it would be a perfect addition, since the druidess is already looking in tat direction...

This tree base is becoming better and better at every step. Simply awesome.
I like the story you picked up for the sylvaneth too. Fits the momentum of the pose.

Thank you all for the kind words!
I hesitated before moving forward on the jungle base. I knew that I wanted to have purple clump foliage on the tree in the shadows. That sounded awesome, or maybe horrible! Even after I made the clump and really liked it, still doubts gnawed at me. I finally decided that I had to follow my original inspiration and just do it. So glad I did! Getting it all adhered and hardened up has been it's own journey. I still haven't got a satisfactory method, all though this one has come out more than fine, just took too many steps to get here. Spray adhesive "fuzzed out" a lot of my "finished" painted branches, and turned everything it touched white! Held good though. Then I PVA'd (diluted) the clumps to watch a good amount of them "melt" off the tree. grrr! I Modge Podged them back. Then I sprayed it with Dullcoat, some more (but less) melting off. The Dullcoat also frosted my purple despite my applying it from a close distance and fairly heavy. I stressed. Then I used it to my advantage by adding a fresh layer of my darkest purple flock (used Aileens Tacky Glue), using the frosted flock as a kind of transitional color. There's also quite a bit of hair spray on it as well. I spent so much time repainting sea foam branches after it was all done that another way other than spray adhesive will have to be tried next time.
I still have some more painting to add here and there, and more plants (waiting for delivery). The lip at the bottom of the base will see quite a bit of attention as well before I call it done. Painting the girl and the cat is going well, perhaps some pics later on.

From the beginning, I had envisioned a solid backdrop behind the figs- I got it!
-Thanks for looking!

Sounds like a real adventure so far. It looks splendid, though. I’m digging the density of the scene and the color choices you’ve made all around the base.

Thank You all! Your comments mean a lot to me.
I have the first mini painted up and mounted to the jungle base. He was fun to paint, a real nice sculpt. Both girls (jungle Babe & Treelord "chick") that I am working on, are all airbrush based up and looking quite good IMHO. The base on the Sylvaneth is painted up and progressing nicely, pics of the girls and Treelord later on.

Started to get back into my Death Dealer a bit in between steps on other projects. I think I'm done with the pastels on the horse. Starting to get a texture from repeated applications of sealer and such. Last step (to smooth it back it out) was to add gloss varnish, man did that look gross, thought I wrecked it! I followed it up with a light coat of matt, brought it right back in line. I think it's ready for some detail paint now.
