Flats - where to buy?

As part of my "paint everything to improve my skills" campaign; I am interested in trying my hand at painting flats, but I am at a loss as to where to purchase them? Can anyone point me to a few places?

There in lies my struggle, type flats in and you either get apartments fro rent in the UK or a crap tons of ladies shoes
