HI!

firstly - to apologize for my complete disregard to my e-family at our e-living room. some of the newer people proally don\'t even know who I am...and thats a scary thought :p BUT! I do have a question and if i promise to add a few \'cutes\' to random threads maybe you guys can help me?

its about GW fluff. yes, i can\'t get enough of it,in a nutshell it\'s amazing. but I\'m specifically curious about Cathay.

I\'ve read the stuffy-fluffy in the rule book. I also did a search from past threads and online but I can find only the name mentioned a few times and some miscellaneous tidbits but nothing that helps me with a little thing I\'ve got planned *rubs palms together and insert evil laugh here* its actually for next years GD, i was thinking about it when I was digging in our garden...in the friggen hottest day of summer I\'m SURE.

any scrap of information would be handy. really.....anything.

thanks everyone, and a big hug to the lot of you!

Hi, Supervike!

My name is Becca, I\'m a mini painter, have been for 3 years now. I like walks on the beach at night, and my favorite flowers a daisy.

lol

Well other than the army thats done in WD issue 314 not much as ever really been done. Its on the warhammer world map and they are suppose to be like China but not much has ever really been said on the area.

Cathay is located near Lustria (where the lizardmen and some skaven live), and there are some orange dragon monks who practice violence to attain enlightenment :D In an issue of white dwarf Chris Blair (I think it was him anyway) had made a small army of Cathayans. I\'ll see if I can find you a pic :) Anyway, they are based around East Asian countries.

And the skaven doesn\'t live in Lustria! BLASPHEMY! They dug tunnels all the way over there and contaminated the land! They are VERMIN... VERMIN I tell you!...

Little is known about the Semi-Mythical land of Cathay,..............Except, like the truth, it\'s out there somewhere................

GW have left Cathay rather an open ended Question to allow for \"future\" (*) scenarios. {(*) Future as in Unplanned}

Think China/Korea/Japan and possibly even Indian subcontinent Influences and Bob\'s your uncle! ;):D

Still Cute I see.

The WHFRPG books might have something in them also. Atleast that\'s what I recall, but then again its been over 15 years since I played that so I might be wrong. Anyway, its not much there is about Cathay so you are quite free to take any elements from the orient you wish.

That was mentioned in the Ogre Kingdom army book. It\'s supposed to be inhabited by beastmen that have tiger traits.
Ooooh Nice Idea for someone with good sculpting skills ;)

Really?

I thought Lustria was the equivalent to the south american rain forests... Cathay always used to be the old world east-asia equivalent. But there has never really been much fluff about it at all, just rumours and hearsay
