Hi Noodleboy,

I saw your request for comments in the shoutbox and decided to lend a hand. Be forewarned, I can be rather frank when it comes to minis :p

First off, apart from Chaos Champ, you really need better pics for the rest. The Blood angel is rather blury and the pic for the steel legion guy is small..... as long as the pics look like the chaos champ and show the painting in its detail you should be okay.

I notice that you have mastered most of the basic skills and you have an eye for highlighting... as seen in steel legion. You also have a nice, gitty style which you might wanna explore further....

however, in order to proceed to your next step on the learning curve, you might wanna smoothen out ur blending so that the gradients are more gradual or if you like sudden gradiant changes, you can make an art form/style outta it......

Also, practice ur freehand. I like the design on the shoulder pad but its rough when close up and needs refining. Dont forget to thin ur paints enough before painting.

Also, try to look around for techniques and stuff that you can learn to bring you onto the next level. Try to set a goal which you might wanna achieve and strive towards it. Pick a technique you wanna learn or something you want to perfect and work towards getting there. In this way you will see continuous and stead improvement.

And most of all, be critical of urself and ur work. There should never be a place or time when you say, \"I have reached the peak and thats enough...\"
Because if you say that, you will stop improving and that will be an end to mastering this particular artform. You\'ll stay stagnent while the world rushes ahead.

The only bad thing i have to say is

your freehand could use work and thing about what angles your models looks best at before setting up your camera. Everything else looks nice to me. Good work... keep it up:D

Well, I was going to jump in and help out with some comments for you, Noodleboy, but Tabithatan pretty much covered what I had to say and more. The only thinkg I would add is: Listen to Tabithatan!:D Take her advice to heart. Excellent advise from a much better source than I.
