I think you captured the cheesy pulp novel feel perfectly. My first imprression, even before I read your description, was that it looked like the cover of one of those old detective novels.

GOod luck in the contest!

Not bad in general, but the thing that screams out to me is that it isnt based, work on the base and i think it will make a big differance

I\'m actually not going to base it at all. It\'s tough to tell from the photo, but the base is a smooth nice black, and brings out the models much better than it would if I put it on turf, or snow, or mud.. which really when you think about my aim for the piece would be quite silly.

I did think about marbelizing it, but that would make it too busy.

In this particular case, I agree. If you think back to those old trashy pulps, the people generallly stood in the middle of nothing in particular or an amorphous pool of light.

A little question

In many many pics I see these same two gils lying on the floor. Anyone could tell me what are they and if they are still produced ? (I find them, hem, interesting :innocent: )

Concerning the entry, I\'m wondering if he has his eyes closed or is it a painting problem ? Otherwise I like the \"I\'m here to protect you, ladies\" look

They are the slaves from the dark eldar raider, and you can get them bits-order from games workshop.

These two gals would have to be among the best selling bitz GW ever had!!

about your mini... I really dig what you have done with the insides of the book. Great overall job, and I agree about the plain base, it seems to help everything out!
