I saw Arlo Guthrie in concert in 1987 or 1988 or so in Houghton, MI. He didn\'t perform Alice\'s Restaurant, but did tell a rousing tale of early Americans struggle with giant, killer clams before the invention of clams linguine. His son played keyboards, and did some great sound effects for the story.

Edit: @Vike: how could you never have heard Alice\'s Restaurant before?!!????
