Hi all! Here's my latest submission (I hope pic will be active very soon) and I'd love to hear your comments and feedback on him. Sorry for low quality pics. Now I'm on to the other 2 I have yet to paint.

I really dig the sketchy style on this. It's got a great graphic novel feel.

But I think it lacks a 'focal' point. I noticed most of those tau seem to. But, maybe a complimentary color on alternating armor plates may help,.


Regardless, if you're going for a war beaten more or less camoflauged robot, you're dead on!!

i think the gun actually is a nice focal point. the green really draws my eye there

I agree, the gun is the focal point, my eye went straight there. Its size also reinforces the importance of it on the robot. We can't always make the face the focal point if the thing we are painting does not have one.

I also love the 'sketchy' appearance. Fantastic stuff.

There is some orange plating here and there. I had a hard time choosing what color I wanted to use for the 'leader' markings. Thought of red, orange, purple, blue... but in the end went for orange to keep it all a bit dulled down.
I'm already assembling my next. A shas'o forgeworld suit. Going to get white armor with a bit of 'desert plating'.
7.6 currently. I'm so happy

I agree Stu, I like the pose. I really like the etched look too, looks like he just ran through an epic sandstorm or something! Good luck getting all that sand out of everything, this I know firsthand! :arrogant:
