Forgeworld Thunderbolt pilot, bronze in YB UKGD 08

This is my Thunderbolt pilot which won bronze in Youngbloods in UKGD 08, which I\'m really happy with. The base was constructed using plasticard, milliput, and lots of sanding. The figure itself had it\'s fair share of problems though, as it was really badly cast, areas were rough and the space between the legs and arms completely filled in but with a lot of carving and greenstuff and yet more sanding he became decent. The colours were based off the concept art (no link, sorry). Thanks very much to Anders (Ritual) and automaton and all the other great people who contributed with tips, critisims and pointers.

I think you\'ve done a great job, especially the face considering you got a bad cast!

I like the color choices and the base is really nice, the epitome of simple but effective.

Good work, you strange scary wee man!
Yes he is \"scary\", in a diminutive, hyperactive, enthusiastic, completley \"In your Face\" way.
Quite endearing really.

His mother has my total respect for dealing with him, not to mention the train journey all the way from Edinburgh.....Brave woman.

I forsee the first \'Young-blood\' sword winner!
Sadly he won\'t be the first, that title has already gone to one of the \"Spanish\" Team a few tears ago.
However he may be the first Brit Youngblood Swordwinner.
Provided they are still elligible.

Excellent job Squig. If that\'s a bronze I\'m now anticipating seeing gold and silver winners.

The face is particularly impressive (even though he does look like Kevin Keegan!)

I do find the face a bit dodgy (thanks to the problems with the cast/primer I think you referred to earlier) but honestly it\'s a very nice piece of work. Congratulations on your first demon!

Hmm.. Kalethblackheart (or Iago), the Spanish painter in question, was actually 15, one year out of youngbloods.

Not hyperactive, quite docile normally, I just think things like GD are fun :)

AFAIK YB isn\'t eligleble for the slayer sword, but next year I\'ll be entering the adult categories as well, so you never know :p

hyperactive is slightly strong...

all i remember was Ari walking up onesome(can\'t remember who), and just standing there smiling, and then having to open and close his mouth and wiggle it because it got over streched...
