So,

I ordered pre-ordered the new nurgle deadnought, along with the 2 new nurgle weapons and the older las cannon one.

A fair amount of time past so i called them a few times and eventually they couldnt work out why it had dispatched since it was showing as instock.

Turns out they had a stock control issue with the nurgle lascannon that meant the computer showed it instock and they didnt really have any.

So they offered to send me the other bits and upgrade my delivery to special.

2 days past, and i chased again, again the guy in sales (very helpful) couldnt work out why it hadnt went out, he sorted it out and refunded my postage.

So now it arrives....

And the spike ontop of the head is broken off :(

So it begins again .....

The only time I buy FW stuff now is when I happen to go up to Warhammer World in Nottingham. I can make sure what I\'m getting is 100% present and correct and it means I can deal with the WHW staff and not them.

not any more, they don\'t do that service now.
you basicly just mail order it from the shop.

Actually they do still stock stuff in the WW store, i picked up a chaplain dreadnought there 2 weeks ago.

The range is limited though.

Yeah I got myself the new Deathguard Sorceror when I was up at Platoon Britannica. While it\'s true they probably don\'t have the more obscure items I also got a Chaos Dread right combat arm which isn\'t likely to be a particularly popular item.

mid week they do it if ya there for a while or you can just nip across the car park to Forgeworld for it.. did that a couple of months ago.. also weekends they carry a fair range really but only as fair a range as Forgeworld has spare .. which these days isn\'t much.. picked up the sorceror and the nurgle apostates myself and was gonna get the nurgle dread (they had two) but decided I\'d spent enough with my previous days mail ordering model shop buying and drinking..:D

One thing is though they need a better system there for the poor staff.. some way of knowing what they have in stock and can check it..1 poor staffer was running up and down checking for bits for me Nigel and Ben although if his customer service had been up to scratch he would have checked what everybody wanted and wrote it down before loping off..oh well he was new..bless.

It\'s funny actually that they generally carry more of the obscure stuff because it\'s the stuff that isn\'t flying off the shelf...

It\'s a bit of a hit and miss service there but if you get there early on in the release they normally have the stuff and then afterwards they generally have the more popular stuff in stock DKoK, Eylesian(sp.) etc. I think that if you have a couple of days or a long time one day you can go and get the other bigger stuff and they\'ll show you what you\'re getting etc. There may be an option to collect from WW as I have seen a few people doing that from time to time.

PS. it\'s my local store so if there are few bits i can pick up for people to give out at GD, that might be alright, providing i can pay for them...

hmm

i\'ve had great service from FW. My great unclean one, had some bad mold lines that went over some very important detail on the back.

I called them, since I\'m in Canada, they said shipping it back would be too much, so they just sent me a 2nd, whole model for free :) and I got to keep the first (Gave it to a friend).

There is some great advice on this topic so I will not repeat the advice but just know that you are not alone in your dissatisfaction at poor GW related product services.
