I did the unthinkable. And finally I am comfortable enough to confess:

I reactivated my World of Warcraft account, and bought the new expansion. I had been 6 months sober, and that has all collapsed! In fact, played most of the day Sunday and got a horrible neck ache! I couldn\'t turn my head from side to side. (I haven\'t been on a vacation in years, this is my little escape! :D)

Anyone else (re)enjoying the addictive world of Azeroth?

Did the same thing this weekend too, I\'m afraid.

Stopped playing 2 months (maybe more) before the Expansion came out, the game really just sucks now... And the expansion didn\'t make it any better, im dissapointed and out 80 bucks... It was fun in the beginning of BC when you were almost full epic and alot of people were running around in blue sets, but then everyone could get epics and you didnt feel special anymore :( Wotlk seem to be the same, I dont think I will be playing more!

... Peace out!

I\'ve lost count how many times I\'ve quit WoW then come back, at least once as long as a year. :drunk:

I haven\'t come back yet with this expansion and hopefully will not but I have been really tempted (likely my recent unemployment might ensure I don\'t).

The \'epics\' comments from Crayfish do bring up a beef I have with many MMORPGs... Some play to ridiculous extremes and get mega powerful equipment. These characters then have the power to do more things in the game thus making them more desirable in groups. Other players don\'t get all the powerful equipment and therefore get left out of many aspects of the game so they lose interest. The great trick to MMORPGs for the developers is finding the balance, something which WoW keeps finding then losing then finding then losing etc...

If I do find myself in a position to restart a MMORPG, I\'ll likely try the new Warhammer game. I really enjoyed aspects of DAoC (especially the crafting) which I\'m hoping but doubting transferred to Warhammer.

I paint my thumb.
You don\'t need to move your left from left to right, you only need to drag the mouse to the edge of your vision.

Seriously, don\'t, just think how it will affect the progression of your painting projects... not to mention the rest of your life.

Now, put on your gauntlet of the shameful hadgehog ( level 43 with enchantment) and slap yourself in the face.

Not been tempted yet and been \'clean\' since August. Have played Warhammer Online for a couple of weeks, but didn\'t get too het up on it.

May all change when I leave home next year though.

You\'re going to burn! Burn, I say!
The fires shall claim your body and GW shall own your soul, and all reproduction rights to both, for all eternity!

easiest solution is to get a crappy internet provider and a machine that isn\'t powerfull enough to cope with up to date games.

problem solved :D
