It is disturbing.....
I\'d like user rankings to be either abolished or simplified. \'Member\' if you have registered, \'Senior Member\' if you have subscribed???
I can\'t help but feel that the forums would be a better place without all the spurious, vacuous and congratulatory posts

There are numerous members out there who have a huge presence on the forums and when they reach a milestone, everyone says/thinks, \"Wow! I thought they were much higher than that?\"

Hey now, I thought it was by how many times you said the same thing? I mean, after all, why else would I go on (and on and on) about tweening?!
And, congrats to Becca! Hard to believe I\'ve been on these forums for like 2 years, and haven\'t even hit Senior Member yet...

I suspect you know all about \'fun in life\', but is increasing your post count a \'fun occupation\'?
There used to be a TV show called: \"Stop watching TV and go and do something more interesting instead\" Great idea.
The forums are fun,...but enumerating your posts, makes it less so.
For example, compare: \"I had a really interesting conversation today\" with, \"I had ten conversations today\"

While I freely admit to participating in the obligatory \'post raising\' threads, I would totally support taking away the post number. Sometimes, the damn number only reminds me of how I could have \'better\' spent my time....

Pointless, vacuous postings are the only fun some of us get!

Have to admit, when you get within a few posts of a new rank, it is easy to get carried away and post utter crap just to get to it. Though posting nothing but utter crap from day one to get to Freak status would be something else! Anyone here done that?

That just made me think of the silliest scenario:
Imagine, a lone person at the podium in front of a abnormally silent crowd nervously clears her throat and begins.
\"My name is *insert freaks name here*. And I am a Posting Freak.\"
And the crowd choruses, \"Hi *insert freaks name here!\"
Which leads to the idea of a support thread for people addicted to posting.......which in the end only serves, of course, to raise their post count. lol
