Iv just got my new White Dwarf today with the two free models, after looking at them for a few minutes iv noticed really bad flash lines and small \'cracks\' on the front of the models, plus the detail is somewhat lacking (e.g. the bottom of the dwarks shield) and it made me wonder, are these models made and produced just for the magazine? Because surely it would be better to just give the normal sprues?

They would have to give away some cool ass mini\'s for me to buy White Dwarf. Kind of along the lines of what Harbringer did.
So im not the only one who thinks these models are a pile of pants lol, no these wouldnt make me buy anthing else!
In the battle for skulls pass set i notice that these two models are used as soldiers in the units? If they are then are all of the other minis in this set just as bad a quality?

i get white dwarf every month and injoy reading it so getting free models is great it dont matter if they are lame or not detailed. if you only got it to get the models then u wasted £3.90 on the magazine:flame:
£4.00 round here! I get White Dwarf every month but i think they could hav put a bit more thought into the models, mine are covered in flashing and small cracks, if i was into minitures and bought this mag because i was thinking of getting into GW minis then i would give first impressions, and these would not leave me wanting more.
I doubt that anyone on this forum...

I am intrigued only by the facts that:
a) GW think that these are a worthwhile giveaway???
b) That apparently the much-vaunted GW plastics appear just as sh1t as they did a decade ago....
c) That anyone at \'Evil Empire HQ\' should think that giving such crap might entice people to buy yet more crap...
