how do you get that faded freehand look on fabrics? (robes of minis and stuff)

3/0 brush (not too small to avoid the colour drying and to mantain a stable flux of colour) and a steady hand

first of all i draw the freehand on a paper on 3:1

then

2:1

then real scale

not so much how do you do freehand.. morso how do you get that faded look?

Thin your paints, or do a wash over the design.

wash and let sit for a bit wolf, then dry it off, will come out very lightly faded.
