French Golden Demon Competition 2009 - wanna come?

ok then, I\'ve made a decision.

I\'ll be going to the French rather than the Spanish golden demon competition this year.

I shall be driving down to it via the channel tunnel on the saturday night.

I shall be staying in a hotel on the saturday night

I shall be attending gamesday on the sunday and then driving back (I have to work monday morning).

I have three spaces in my car and would be happy to fill them with PB or CMON members who are keen to enter the competition themselves. These people would be expected to contribute to petrol (small engined car), the cost of the chunnel (I have the opportunity to get a phenomenal discount on this, so with a full car it shouldn\'t be more than £20, but don\'t quote me on this), and they would be expected to pay for their hotel accomodation (but I can get this cheaply for you too).

They would also be expected to have a great deal of fun. Also, I should like to take the opportunity to swap painting techniques with them, and finally they would be expected have a good go at winning something ;)

If you fancy coming (obviously you would need to be an adult, I\'m not up for wiping noses), please PM me so we can get to know one another a little, this is only an initial contact to see the level of interest, I\'m not asking you to commit to something yet (the tickets aren\'t available until december). I\'m happy to do this on my own, but I know I\'d enjoy it much more with others, so let me know.

Oh, btw, it\'s on the 19th April, in Park des Expositions at the Porte de Versaille (that\'s Paris!)

righty-ho, that\'s all good to know.

Btw, I can speak very little french, but I\'m not thinking that\'ll be a problem, phrase book is my friend, and the gw products are all multi-lingual (o:

I\'ll post again when I have a more firm idea of cost and exact info.

Btw. by aldult I mean 18+ really and able to wipe their own... well you get my drift. Having said that, although my car is small I don\'t envisage a height restriction, they made the channel tunnel for tall people too which was nice of them.

Cool beans (o:

If you can come earlier on Saturday it\'s usually worth it. Past years, the french have organised visits in Paris (the Louvre, the \"City of Science\" when it had a Star Wars exposition, ...) and dinner on Saturday night. I don\'t know if anything is planned this year but if some are interested I\'ll ask when Créafig\'s gets back up :p.
