When it comes to the Golden Demons, I somewhat agree with his sentiments. I agree that for a GW contest (it\'s not the French Open or GenCon) entries that fit the GW \"flavor\" are more appealing - at least, to me they are.

That probably just means entries that aren\'t covered in Renaissance freehanded paintings and scratch built from a single GW skeleton leg

It\'s all personal opinion, when you boil it down.

Entries like Jeremie\'s Ogre, Victor\'s Demon Prince, Bryan Shaw\'s chinese dragon (a couple years back) are all stunning - technical marvels, *masterpieces*.

But I don\'t love them as GD entries.

GW have the right to eliminate of the contest minis wich are not totally in the spirit of GW. But how a judge can do that? How decide a mini is 100% in the GW universe? 90%, 50 %...
Its so subjectif... Good luck for them. Its there probleme, not the competitor\'s one, exept is winning is for him an objective.

it strange that some people doesnt think my ogres are inspired but GW universe. Its not a copy of a commercial miniature or design, but the gw empire is totally inspired by renaissance.
my ogre is not from the kindom of ogres, one of the last WFB army, but from the empire, with a lansquenet swears.

All my SW winning entries where inspired by renaissance or historical miniatures. Maybe i\'ll go to italia in december, cause it\'ll me not far from my new home, and i meet few italian painters in St Vincent i would see them again¡

Hear hear Jérémie! Your ogre fits perfectly with GW imagery, it is just better sculpted than the GW ogres (actually sculpting and painting are bothe AMAZING!!) And even the fluff states that ogres are often mercenaries, in Araby, the Empire, Lustria... even look at their own maneaters:

I think a lot of people have forgotten about the ogres that live in the old world, or as mercenaries within the empire.
