Well I need a new rule book anyway. Mines falling to bits missing pages written all over so Its time to buy a new one.

I havent done and O&G army for a few years so a night gobbo one looks good as well. Anyone wanna trade some dwarves.

Prices....

Ok, right now the prices are:

-Army deal (limited ed. so it depends if you can get any)-120 for 32 plastic warriors, 16 quarellers/thunderers, 1 cannon/organ gun, 10 metal slayers, grudge tower and 4 heroes of wich a limited ed. Standard bearer (actually the same of the previous ed. army deal)+armybook=120 pounds or around 200 euros

-Battalion (all the plastics from the army deal so 32 warriors, 16 ranged and a cannon)=50 pounds (this one is relatively cheap and it\'s quite worth the price)

-Boxed set regiments of plastics around 18-20 pounds.

The new set shown in the pics (that will supposedly come out around 26-28 august) will be preatty much the same as the starter now I think.

well the new miniatures are nothing especial to me i only like the dwarfs, the goblins could be mutch better and the new troll dosen´t look right

I like the goblin spearmen and characters. The troll i think is odd due to the paint job and the scuplt. The Spider rides look like you bought some of the plastic halloween spiders and stuck some goblins on them. Time for a new rulebook (wonder if they will have hard back, cause my 6th i got hardback and its about to fall apart after 6 years)

I like the spider riders, but still not sure if I am going to get them. Night Goblins certainly look better than older models but it all seems a little boring.

I like them as a whole and will be tempted by them for the kids to play with.

Individually there is some dire stuff there and some decent stuff.
Nothing stands out though.

Keep in mind these are simple multipart plastic figures for an introductory box starter set to WFB. This is WFB version of the Battle for Macragge box set so I would look for prices in the same price range as that set.

I think they look good.

Ok, it\'s supposed to be kind of a starter but still the quality of the other dwarven plastic sets is far greater than this-the miners weapons are a disgrace (seem more like hole metal bad made crossbows, rather than great weapons...).
GW does it with each starter they put on the sale (just like the present empire-orks starter-the empire models are in a desperate need of details-actually they need also a recognizable face for that matter).

The goblins are quite simplified (hope they don\'t do all the new gobbos that way-the old ones from Brian Nelson are far better).

If this IS the fantasy version of the McCragge box I\'m sad. I\'d much rather a smaller number of better figures, like the McCragge box, not that those figures were great or anything. Most of these pics you\'d think the figures are epic/warmaster scale.

Here\'s hoping the paintjob was done by blind kids or something and the figs are much better than they appear.

The more i look at the models the more i agree with you!
WHF will never be a game with cheesey 10 model armies, which is a good thing, i am glad that you get a lot of models in this box set

$242 For 60 Figures plus the army book? THATS A GOOD DEAL? IN WHOSE MIND?

The Book is $20
32 Dwarf Warriors = $70
16 Thunderers = 35
10 Slayers = $45
1 Cannon/Organ Gun = $20
1 Grudge Thrower = $20
4 Heroes = $48

Grand Total - $258

I save a total of $16 dollars over buying them without the \"Deal\"

Big friggin deal here folks. If the sculpts were worth it perhaps. But everyone has said they arent. Deals like this are one more reason my money is going to other companies -

On note of the pony cart, I would say it is an ore cart, in spite of all hopes for a beer cart.

Also another interesting piece, is the Gobo Teepee featured, going with the tied slayer.
