friday the 13th

Phobias used to have quite a few.
Scared of heights, Falling, getting hurt dying, all sorts of things.
So kind of strange that I took up rock climbing and overcame my fear of heights.
Fell once so that knocked that one for a loop.
Had three teeth knocked out by a flying rock, (Now that Hurt) so kinda got over that one as well.
The Death thing, well got kickstarted back to life on an operating table, so that kind of disappeared. (plus like taxes you can\'t dodge it)
Can\'t say I\'m really phobic about anything now.
Only thing I really don\'t like now are Rats. Not afraid of them just can\'t stand them. Seen too many in a previous job and know what the filthy things carry. (Vails disease. :|~ ) Oh and rats like computer network cable covering to chew on, which hacks me off.

Roaches.
Their bodies (specially when flipped up) and the way they move... I find very disgusting. They\'ve even jumped (fly?) at me !

@ supervike - As far as the mirror in the dark thing goes, any chance it is left over from playing \"Bloody Mary\" as a kid?
Other phobias - I\'m somewhat claustrophobic, and flying in general has been nerve-wracking for me since 9/11.
The spider thing is interesting - I think spiders are fascinating, and I don\'t mind looking at them/photographing them. As soon as one jumps or runs in my general direction, I freak out. I think there is something instinctual about that reaction, similar to how most people react to snakes.
Other phobias - I\'m somewhat claustrophobic, and flying in general has been nerve-wracking for me since 9/11.

That spider pic kinda bothers me, mostly because you can tell that it\'s on somebody. It looks like it\'s standing on skin, at least.
Kansas has some big nasty wolf spiders. When I lived there it seemed like we bug-bombed the house twice a year at least. Those nasty little things were agressive, too. They would actually rear up on their back legs at you and charge. I remember thinking I had one cornered once and it ran at me, penned me in a corner until I jumped on it. Then came the clean up. :|~

Well, I am kind of late joining this one, Friday the 13 has always been a day I lie low, our house burned to the ground on a Friday the 13! Oh and I got my first F in math that same day!
