Nice piece...

...very clean execution ;) He definitely has an individual face, very craggy, and that Frog looks maniacal the way you\'ve done his eyes lol The base looks good,I like the way he seems to be balancing on that slate, and the definition acheived in your colours is pukka, nice beer belly (reminds me of someone that ??? ) I\'m dying to get my boxes, ones at the P.O. I think but I don\'t reckon I\'d paint mine as quick as you,how long\'d he take? Can\'t wait to see more of your interpretations of this box! Cheers :D

Bugger...

...I can\'t wait for mine to get here!! You\'re proper hyping me up with these submissions lol chinboy\'s naughty,I had trouble envisioning that painted, not no more :D The flesh is lahhhvely, the tone of the scar looks great and I like the technique used on the axe head, good results! ;) Two great figures that could have looked similar (if in my hands for example!) but don\'t,nice job fella  Cheers

i recieved mine today. they\'re pretty cool. i love the skin tones on these two. especially \'chin boy\'. i was suprised by him actually as i thought he was going to be more ogre sized.

a question (actually two) - did you use a normal primer? what glues can you use? i\'ve never worked with resin before.

oh, and i voted by the way

Cheers fellas.
You can use any primer you like on resin - I used some grey spray-on for these two. Resin occasionally needs a scrub in soapy water before primering, but these were ok. Just use superglue for sticking!

Have to say, I prefer resin to white metal. The detail is usually much crisper and the paint seems to go on really nicely.;)

This one was a Christmas pressie from Donga. I kinda got irritated half way through and rushed it. Not happy with it - I might strip it in the future and have another go. Nice sculpt though - Freebooter jobbie!

Stip this?!.. are you nu... ahum... Well the face and the chest/neck (not covered by the dress might not be as good as the rest of it.. but the dress, wings and arms are perfect... Complete waste to give it a stipper dunk...

[fanboy] Spacemunkie, I really like your painting style. You always seem to choose very effective color combinations and your pieces always grab my attention, even when the sculpt is uninspired. Good photographs as well! Keep \'em coming [/fanboy]

Back off my mini-holiday to France and come back to see you have been busy!

Nice one Scotty :D

As always stunning work! The dress effect looks good in the picture, how is it in real life, does it show better in the picture or to the naked eye? (Note:Have to get a present giver who knows their figures!) lol

well at least we can see how her dress is being held up!! great pix man. i agree with cdukino - don\'t strip her just finish off her chest (as it were)

thanks for the tips btw

I misread \'finish off her chest\' wrongly for a moment....

:D

@Finn - the box has some great stuff in it. Gael\'s sculpt is a beauty, lots of very fine detail. Cyril\'s \'Amidala\' is just perfect and very cleanly sculpted (as you\'d expect!). The two sci-fi minis are different but something aint quite right about the poses. They\'ll look good painted though.

The pumpkin is just wierd:D

The 54mm historical is the weakest of the lot IMO, purely because of the pose. The sculpting on it is top notch though.

I couldn\'t resist!

For the price, the collection just represents huge value, and at least I can tell Mrs finn it\'s for a good cause:D

I dread to think what GW would charge for a set like this...but that\'s another thread entirely:bouncy:

Frog Ogre and Chinboy...waiting for the comic book

Those two guys look great! Frog Ogre has a cartoonish quality which is very fun.
I will echo cdukino by saying Strip the Angel girl?! Are you nuts?! She looks amazing already. :wow:
