In case it wasn\'t mentioned before, Andy Chambers has been working on a game based on the Starship Troopers books. It\'s very well done, the miniatures look cool, and the rules are in the usual Andy Chambers fashion... Teriffic!

I\'m talking Javelin missile launcher Triple Thud grenade launcher, Hel infantry flamer, CC-176ER shock stick, Morita rifle, and personal nukes! Does it get any better than that? It\'s also relatively cheap with the starter box priced at about $75.

If I sound like a salesman it\'s because I want this game to catch on because it\'s so cool!

This was a birthday present to myself...

It looks good. The bugs are especially cool, but I am not too sure about the troopers. I have yet to build a trooper so, we shall see???

And I am not sure about their longevity unless based, those legs are very fragile???

Saw a posted link some time back on TMP, a set of bugs slotted to go on auction on ebay. The bugs were based on an X-shaped bases, very neutral, looked okay and seemed very workable. Dunno where the bases came from.:)

Hey! That\'s a good idea.......

\'X\' shaped bases eh? I really like that, easy to knock up out of plasticard....

In fact, it\'s probably the only workable solution. Nice one MB:D

They just got some of this over at my LGS. Looked neat, but I think I\'m in over my head (probably over my house) with unpainted stuff anyway.

@ finn - You make it sound like you\'re going to do some of these. Is that ok? :D

They are on my \'to do\' list....

But who knows...

I thought they would be perfect candidates for the \'dipping\' process we have discussed on here before.
I have always wanted to try that out. Even bought the dye!

If you missed it, it\'s here and here

After learning the rules, and seeing the models, I knew I had to get the opinion of yall. This game was so powerfull it brought me out of my addiction to WoWcrack (Aka. Kalimdorcrack, Dwarfamine, and Paladindust). Well...that and a sunspot that\'s messing with my internet connection.

The dipping procedure looks interesting, and we\'ve got a few versions and veriations of it at my local gaming store. Though I do think it works better with a general \"bug\" miniature, than it would with the Mi armor.

Well, just to clarify things for you, Vike... :D
1) Dedwrekka is the former senior games deesigner extrodinaire for the dreaded GW.

2) Andy Chambers, of course, is my son

OR something like that lol :innocent:

I have way too many unpainted minis as it is, if I want to play Starship Troopers I rely on old faithful here. -

Does that game contain miniatures, Markus, or is it straight pencil and paper? Seen the box before, never palyed it, though.
