I figure there has been alot of \"stuff\" going on on the fourms as of late and i wanted to have some fun, like the \"good olde days\" so....

what is your absolute favorite thing that ever happened on the fourms?

I\'ll start off....

my favorite thing thats happened on the fourms would have to be getting half of the community to use the word cute!

I also love the PYP thread....nothing like putting a face to a name.....



I figure we could have fun with this and not be so upset...what do you think?

i like the pyp thread too. i also like the wip thread as it\'s nice to see how some of these masterpieces are created. and it\'s really making me want to paint more (i\'m still not though but thats another story).

i have also enjoyed skipping through the occasional argument - there\'s one going on at the mo that i\'ve just read (most of). always interesting when things get a little hot!

oh and it nice seeing all the good painters doing the whole paint aid thing. i wish i had the skill to participate

......Mine is when in the Heroes thread I was commenting on Mike McVey\'s godlikeness and everyone was saying they love him,then his actual wife/girlfriend turned up and said she loved him too! lollol This for me was very unusual,when I realised \'himself\' may be reading it,I was highly embarrased,but in a good way! As I don\'t know any painters IRL and am pretty new to the net,it was like my \'celebrity experience\'. Big up Mike McVey!!

I hate to say it, but I really rather enjoy all the drama on the boards. Getting bent out of shape because of what other strangers are saying about you is pretty silly in and of itself, but add a dash of drama queen antics, and hilarity ensues. You just have to step back and take it at face value.

But that\'s not remotely my favourite thing. In fact, I don\'t think I even have one. I really enjoy the tips in the painting folders, and I like the off topic rampancy, and I like discussing technique or philosophy, and seeing what folks look like... There\'s a lot of things I really love about these boards. I couldn\'t narrow it down.

I guess that\'s why I keep reading them.

The wealth of talent that comes here and leaves something behind for the rest of us.

If not for CMON I expect painting minis would have become a hobby I used to do. Coming here regenerated my interest and - even at my age - I am learning new things.

I\'ve always liked that you can get help for anything here, it doesn\'t have to be miniature-related.

A few months ago, I was having computer problems that I just couldn\'t shake. So, at my wit\'s end, I posted about them here. The number of replys from so many different people offerings solutions really impressed me (especially Mosch, he\'s my Computer Savior :innocent: ). I even posted in a different forum that was specifically about computer tech support and got no help there.

You guys are a great bunch, despite the occasional arguements, I think all the love eveybody has for the hobby and each other more than makes up for it!

What I really love about CMON (and now I\'m going to toot my own horn a bit) is seeing my improvement. Maybe someone remembers the first time I posted Randall Devonshire? Then I stripped him and posted him again. And now I stripped him a third time and I am currently in the process of painting him. The improvement is obvious when going through the old threads, but I have to admit, he still sucks
