Furioso Dreadnought

I decided to post a little side-thread to my main project of the Space marine. This dreadnought has been in an unfinished state for a good two years and I\'ve been using it as a test-bed for weathering techniques. As I didn\'t want to over-clutter the Marine\'s thread, here\'s the dread and the current progress. ;)

Some inks and oil paints to the emblem.

Just some small touch-ups to the decals with some leftover yellow from the Marine\'s shoulder pad highlights.

In case you\'re interested in certain techniques or elements, just ask and I\'ll gladly elaborate. ;)

Absolutely true... Sadly it\'s an old model that was already under- & base coated years ago, before I went to work on it a few weeks ago.

yeah i know how you feel! this may sound really harsh, but it doesnt seem to be on the same level as the marine. too much texture makes it look like thick paint

No worries mate, ay and all C&C are always welcome. As a Graphic Designer I\'ve been well indoctrinated many a year ago to be able to handle any critique in a constructive manner. ;)

You\'re right is is definitely not on the same level as my FW Marine. On this Dread I went to town with inks, drybrushing and then later on oil paints and chipping. The highlights are roughed on with drybrushing to end up with a crude and dirty effect. On the actual model it does look more \'together\' though, keep in mind that this entire dreadnought is not even as tall as just one leg of the Marine by a full centimeter or two...
