future floor finish

Is there anyone who knows the swedish equivalent to Future Acrylic Floor Finish?
Or anything else that has the same qualities as Future?

Since Future is basically a bottle of clear acrylic with a shine.. Id instead go to a good art store and look for a bottle of Acrylic flow improver. Any good art store should carry the Winsor & Newton range of paints and they make a good one.

You might also get lucky and find the Liquitex brand of paints and if so look for a botle of Flow Aid fluidificant.

The commercial artists versions tend not to have the shinyness that FFF has.

Then again, FFF is uber cheap!
Plus you can use it to polish your floors.

I use Liquitex\'s flow aid, and even though the bottle is quite pricey you need such a tiny amount of it it\'ll likely last my entire life.

yeah I cut it with a lot of water in a seperate bottle. Ill even add a little bit of slow dry into it. Then from that bottle I will add it to my paint as Im working.

Ive had my bottle of Flow aid for over a year.

Uhh, nope. Flow improvers/aids are not the same thing as FFF. Flow improvers are basically a detergent that serves to break the surface tension of the paint, increasing the wetting abilities and even application of the paint. FFF also increases the wetting, but increases the gathering properties of the paint too. That\'s the reason it\'s used for washes - flow aid makes a poor wash. Gathering and evenness are two opposite qualities.

Anyhow, that\'s my understanding of it all. I use both, and when wetting ability is the objective, they are equivalent.

@Eric: lick the floor and then lick a bar of soap. Lick the soap after the floor though.

Yeah, beat me to it. I know mini painters usually use Future as an ingredient for washing but it\'s not the same thing as a flow improver. It\'s actually a bit more like a kind of medium (hence the gloss).

Ok, A while ago I bought something that might be the equivalence of future floor finish in Sweden. The name is Pledge (from sc Johnson) and it´s a clearpolish made for protecting plastic floors from wear. I was thinking that maybe one of you here in this forum might be kind enough to se if FFF has the same ingredience as this one: polykarboxylate/karboxylate 15-30%, non-jonic tensides 0.2-5%, soap 0.2-5%, preservative ()etylenglykoldiformate).

Yes, I think that\'s the trick to narrowing the search. Look at all the products from SC Johnson. Even though the same product may have different names in different countries, the manufacturer remains invariant. Here, it\'s Onestep or Mr Miracle. Same stuff, same company.

Well, that\'s going to depend on the laws of the country. But obviously, the manufacturer would rather keep the composition a secret.

thats not waht on the back of my bottle of Kleer... butthat could be down to different regulations for the labelling of chemicals in different countries..

sounds like the right kinda stuff though - try ito n a spare mini and see...
