I got wind in my sails and Im on my way to getting this thing done to enter it in 40k single in baltimore this year. Personal dream of mine is to win a demon that isnt in youngbloods.

Not flashy, the hair needs to be re-shaped. I thought Id leave a more rigid, angled hair due but its driving me nuts, i gotta change it. The hair is also gonna be painted a deep red instead of blue. Also the gems that are purple and the blade are gonna be a vibrant blue, not purple.

Let me know what you guys think...possible ideas that could make it better.

how about a couple more shots with more light. The colors seem muted I dont think we are getting the full effect. try taking 2 lamps put very close to the model and take a picture between them.....The pose is dramatic the weapon choice also adds to a fairly heavy overall feeling. Good stuff.

agree with everything ian wrote, more shots with more light! hard to 'judge' anyting of your painting in this picture. the pose look great though!

the pose is great. But still... too less light and too less point of views to jugde the painting... I am sorry.

Hi,

i like the pose. The armour is also looking really nice. It's still a bit hard to see the rest. Still looking good.

Cheers

The armor look like old, and weathered. Unusal for a eldar, but I like this ides of an old veteran very much. Will the cloth between the legs change colors? I tink a lillte contrast between armour and cloth would be nice...

I think the loincloth could be done in a blue, similar to the color of the gem. Either that or whatever color you are planning to do the crest on the helmet.

its too bad i was almost done painting it after reading your post, i agree that blue would have been a good choice carl...oh well :(. i did however paint the small ribbon on his leg blue in your honour to break the nutralness of the colour, and added some red pigment (warm) in the cloth to contrast the blue (cool) colours. ill probably add a bit more red hue as i go its still not done. heres where im at now...
