Alternatively, you could \"cannibalise\" something from a broken or unused piece of technology or equipment, like an old VCR, Clock etc...

i\'d highly recommend getting some moulding putty or latex and make moulds of interesting textures. then use strong plaster to fill it. it can easily be stuck to a base and sanded to size. i bough a 2 part putty that dries in 10 mins that is brilliant and am taking textures off everything!! it\'s so sad!

And what is the brand name of said putty, Freak? Sounds like I should add it to my collection (after all, I have everything else) :D

i bought it from hobby craft, thanks to wargriffon\'s suggestion. not sure what it\'s called but it comes in 2 small screw capped plastic tubs. one blue putty and one white. i tried searching the site but it is utter crap! if i find out, i shall tell you. great stuff

I got some of this stuff sent over from the US by a mate. It\'s quite good but it takes several days to cure properly not the hour it claims on the package. I\'ve not seen any here in the UK but if you find some I\'d be interested in knowing where you got it.
