i love our dremmel I normally cut minis in half with it though (on purpose) like the dolphins on the latest mermaid for CCV. that was a wild dremmel night!

I have a dremel. I bought it about seven years ago. It got dull. I can\'t remeber how to take the bit out and I\'m to lazy/unfocused to bother trying to figure it out for more then 10 seconds. So now I haven\'t used it in about 6 and a half years. I really should have anothe look at it...

Have an airbrush too, bought it about seven years ago. It\'s still in the box, over next to the dremel lol

Yeah, love that tool (got my Mastercraft rotary tool just a couple of months ago). Be CAREFUL with it though - you can savage your fingers of course, but you can also chew through a mini way too quickly. The last two minis that I removed bases from with the high-speed cutter lost other bits as well. Thank god nothing too hard to re-sculpt ;)

The flexible shaft is a must at this scale, of course.

@MarkusTay - there\'ll be a special small wrench, and probably a button or something on the tool to immobilize the shaft while you loosen the chuck with the wrench. Lock the shaft, twist the chuck loose, remove the bit. Ta da!

Yeah...them flexshafts are cool, but mine is a little older and keeps slipping. Haven\'t been working with my resins for a while, so I haven\'t broken it back out and tried to figure if I can fix it. Near as I can figure, I\'m just not keeping the actual Dremel at the right angle and trying to bend the thing too much. :p

On the same Christmas, I somehow ended up with two Dremels, even though I didn\'t ask for any. Got one big multi-speed sucker with the little digital readout, and a mini two-speed. I\'m still trying to get to the point where I can use them extensively without destroying my resins or small minis.

Okay, so I just took a look at my dremel, and taking the bit out wasn\'t so bad (who knew you needed a little wrench?). Now I have a nice new bit in it and will dremel my life away tonight.

@Deerheart - I was gonna take my airbrush out of the box, but I still can\'t figure out what I would use it for. ???
25-30mm minis are too small; I think I originally bought it with terrain building in mind. Is there another use (besides priming) that I\'m missing?

@ Markus - Ummm...larger scale stuff (like 54mm, 72mm, or resin models), vehicles, basecoating if you\'re doing a whole bunch of things with a lot of one color (5 kabillion orks later or something), or dioramas. I\'m sure there are others, but it depends on your airbrush. :D

I\'ve only used my airbrush for resin garage kits so far, but I\'m thinking of using it on my 54mm and 72mm stuff with lots of flesh tone.
