Comment on using the Gallery.
Hi CA & Co.
When browsing the Gallery in the mode where it pops up a new "random" entry for me to vote on, I'm getting frustrated by the way the skip button works (click Next without voting). Images that I've skipped keep being thrust back in front of me within a short period of time despite the fact that I don't want to vote on them (incorrect title, manufacturer, apalling photo, yet another space marine green, etc) despite the fact that there are 1000's that I've never voted on & over 50 pages of minis with fewer than 60 votes.
My frustration is, of course, petty, but even nastier is catching myself thinking "not that sodding thing again, don't care if it's on a 6.2, I'm sick & tired of the sight of the damn thing, if I just vote it a 1 I'll never have to see it again". I haven't done it, deeply unfair to the painter/sculptor, but I don't like finding that I'm just voting on minis for the sakes of clearing them out of the way rather than because I like them & feel they're deserving of my consideration (a high value commodity my consideration I'll have you know
). Someone who posted a couple of pages of 15mm units recently got flat 5s from me for every entry just to stop the rotation throwing all of them at me in a row, yet again, to skip past.
I know what I'm like though, in a week, given a change of mood I may vote on an entry I've previously skipped. Might it be possible to implement a feature that says "you skipped an entry, it won't be presented to you again until a week has passed"?
Thank you for your time, B.
PS feel free to chide me if I'm just moaning folks!
