Whew! Finally got around to posting the Balrog I painted for Games Day Chicago. He made the first cut, so I was happy.
It was only after I started painting it that people said, \"You know, they make that out of plastic now.\" If I had only known before I started assembly. What a pain in the a$$!
The base is made out of cork, polymer clay with a hexagonal tile pattern carved into it, and of course, sand and gravel.
