Games Day Chicago

I leave in two days for a vacation out West which culminates in Chicago. I should be attending Games Day, and was wondering if any CMON members had a specific spot to meet at.

I\'d also like to note that I will finish an entry for the Demons, a Fantasy Single Entry, though I don\'t expect it\'ll win anything asides from the occasional laugh.

Anyways, just wondering who\'s planning on being there, and where/when to meet.

I will be attending again this year.

Last year we met just inside the entrance to the gaming hall around noon. Though last year it was just Dennismech, Supervike and me. I don\'t know if Supervike has made up his mind yet if he will be attending or not.

Got my duel done(my only hope of winning is by hitting the \'soft\' categories) and am working on other stuff now.

Supervike should chime in any time now

Wish we were going...so close...and yet soooo far! Too many $$$ for \"research\"...ah well - maybe next year. It would be a pleasure to meet some of you though...

I was planning to attend, but alas I don\'t think I\'ll be able to make it after all. Basically I need to focus on paying work which means no time for completing entries. No entries means no reason for such a long trip.

Who knows though. I could get a lucky windfall and be able to make it, but I think I\'ll just plan for Atlanta, Baltimore and Chicago next year.

That was my plan (was going for a warband) however I started late and until the final days had a lot of trouble finding the motivation and time to pick up the brush.

I think it\'s unlikely I\'ll be attending next year(third kid due in November, so I\'ll have no time and no money), so I\'m trying to paint as much as possible this year.

The shotgun approach probably isn\'t the best one, but for $40 a ticket I want to waste as much of the judges time as possible.

Wonder where Victor Hardy and his disqualified Bloodthirster will re-emerge. I am guessing Chicago this year or France next year.

He won a sword in Baltimore with a bloodthirster several years ago. He had a different large demon(which I assume was a bloodthirster) at the UK GD\'s last year which was disqualified due to imagery concerns. I was under the impression he was going to modify it and re-enter somewhere.

I want to go this year, but I still haven\'t gotten clearance from the tower (wife\'s permission). We just had twins in March and she is leaving her job for a year so money is an issue. But if I do go, I will hang about in the lobby outside the doors around noon!

Congratulations, and you have my sympathies. My twins are two and a half years old. See you there(tower willing).
