Well, did anyone go? I\'ve checked the GW site and I didn\'t see coverage there, but does anyone have their own pictures of the Golden Demon?

Herb the Bitter (doug) attended. He won GOLD for two of his entries...

Best Fantasy Regiment for his Dwarf Longbeards
and
Best War Machine for his Goblin Wolf Chariot

His Duel entry, which I got to see, in person (it was fantastic!) didn\'t even place.

I don\'t know much about it, but I noticed some grumbling about Matt Veranzi\'s very cool Space Marines diorama being disqualified, because of size or something...

That would be so aweful to work on something for so long and have it disqualified! Especially a diorama because of all the converting and time put into them. Matt\'s one of my favorite painters so I do hope that is just a rumor.

So Chirs Borer won the Slayer Sword. And the judges this year were Jan Haley, Adam Catt and... Chris Borer?!?!?!?! How does that work?

Actually, I couldn\'t make it to the contest this year. So the space marine diorama must have belonged to someone else. I did see the coverage though, and it looked like there were some great entries. I thought Chris Borer\'s winning piece was really cool, and very deserving.

Where did you see that Adam Catt and Chris Borer helped with the judging(just curious)? None of the above three people judged the duel category(as I saw it being judged). I believe there were several teams of judges, though I don\'t know who everyone was. Saw Tim Lison, though I don\'t know if he did any judging.

Chris\'s piece was excellent but I thought the sword could have just as easily gone to Doug Jones too. Maybe they tossed a coin, either way they would have been right.

Actually, Jen, Adam and Chris were asked to judge the Staff competition. This was done since everybody who could judge from GW had something in the competition. They did not have any influence over the judging in any of the main categories.
