Thanks Margo there is some nice work there pity the marine that won third place didn\'t have a bit more detail on the loin cloth and a few other areas and they might have given some of the others a run for their money

I need to take a picture of the monster, since the one they\'ve posted there is not so good; overexposed and the colors do not show right. But I dread the moment, since my camera freaks out and cannot focus on such complex 3d objects
. Still, promise to do that soon .

Thatnks for posting the winners Margo. I would of liked to see who won for the Best overall fig.
It\'s a rather different comp to Golden Daemon, still in quite a fledgling stage, so it works a little differently. The overall winner, Denis Izotov, won because he placed best overall in all of the categories combined, not for any individual model.
Some great stuff there nonetheless. Looking forward to next year when they sort out photographing on the day and we get to see photos of every winner.

i still can\'t get over the fact somebody was disqualified for being a high level painter. are the models labelled up with the name of the artist or something stupid like that? why don\'t they make an open category, and i take it Ms Melnik doesn\'t run the eavy metal team just yet.........??
i wish they would try to standardise the format for gw run painting comps. sometimes not having the \'local knowledge\' ruins your chances of winning something right away.

What is that soppost to mean? As a miniature painter posting on a miniature painting forum I think anyone has a right to thier opinion. I think its an outrage!
Never has this type of thing happened. Anyone who has an interest in GW sponcered painting events should be concerned. Whats to stop it from happenning again in other compititions, If no one voices thier dismay at this blatent show of poor sportmanship by the competition judges. I cry FOUL!
